The most effective trick I have found is teaching your dog to walk beside you using the "heel" command combined with immediate feedback. This means the moment your dog starts to pull, you stop walking or turn and walk in a different direction, giving the dog zero attention. You only move forward again when the leash is slack, rewarding the dog for calming down with a pet or a treat and encouraging your dog to stay close.

He understood packs and that was what I needed to learn. His techniques worked every time and all I had to do was use calm energy and a slight touch or sound to get their attention, if they needed it. In the worst case scenarios, I even mastered t
