What we are looking for in a dog walker:

We are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Dog Walkers to join our pack here in the North Surrey area. This Pack Leader role involves providing exceptional care and exercise for dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring their safety and happiness during your Pack Walks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients efficiently, and with at least 3 years experience. 

 

This position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a positive impact on dogs and their owners. This is a sub contractor position where you can set your own schedule, pace and income. You will receive pack leadership training, as well as a featured spot on our highly ranked website. You will need to get a business license and your own insurance, which is standard for any entrepreneur. That's a small investment in a lucrative business.
 

Responsibilities

• Produce a recent 'criminal records check', and a clear driving record

• Have a smart phone for administrative duties and communication

• Take dogs on scheduled walks, ensuring they are safe and comfortable throughout the outing

• Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding walking routes, feeding, or special needs

• Maintain a clean and safe environment during walks, including picking up waste and checking equipment for safety

• Communicate effectively with pet owners about their dogs’ behaviour, health, or any concerns during walks

• Manage multiple dog walking appointments throughout the day while adhering to scheduled times

• Safely transport dogs using seat belts in a reliable vehicle

• Provide basic companionship and attention to dogs to promote their well-being

• Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with dog owners and address their concerns

• Passion for animals with a caring and responsible attitude towards pet care

• Ability to handle dogs of different temperaments and sizes safely and confidently

• Good time management skills to ensure punctuality across multiple appointments

• Physical stamina to walk dogs in various weather conditions and terrains

• Capable of lifting 80 lbs in an emergency

• Dependability, professionalism, and a genuine love for animals are essential qualities for success in this role
